When you start looking for things you find them. In Seattle this weekend, in addition to seeing a ton of quilts (and a wonderful show of R. Crumb drawings at the Frye), eating some great meals and laughing a lot, I came across a classic Quonset with a water/city view
and Roger’s dream writer’s studio:
But the first stop in Ballard was “the little house.” I read about it in the NY Times and visited the “site” in October, so wanted to check progress:
The building on the right will be a Trader Joe’s and on the left will be condos.
Take a look at http://www.myballard.com. There is an amazing stream of comments about the little house and Mrs. Macefield and history and community that’s pretty interesting.
