Crochet as a way of visualizing hyperbolic space, the disappearance of these beautiful coral reefs–now 1/3 of them are dead (global warming), the facts about plastic and that 1/10th of the plastic produced annually ends up in the ocean. (There’s a “tsunamic tide zone” thing happening with the ocean currents which piles plastic up in various places, including just north of Hawaii.)
