The Belluschi Church

So we read in the Oregonian this week about the church designed by Pietro Belluschi in 1950. As the parish waned in numbers and money was scarce, the congregation decided to take down the 58 year old bell tower which needed repair. Not so fast. It’s historic. They’re now raising the $150,000 it will cost to rebuild the tower and if they don’t get going by June 30th they could be fined $1000 a day. We thought we’d better do a drive-by. They didn’t mention in the article the OTHER end of the church which is a gorgeous curved brick wall:
