It turns out that just about everybody that walks in wants their picture taken
but luckily I don’t always have my camera. Tonight is the opening for the new two week show featuring the work of 5 graffiti artists who painted on the wall. It has been a lively addition with a whole new group of people stopping in to comment. Tonight there will be dancing, music, and art.
This week I’ve been working on a collaborative project with Laura Mack and Corrie Loomis Dietz. As it has turned out we didn’t actually collaborate on work so much as put stuff up and talk about what we were doing, in a kind of oblique but interesting way. I’ve made a series of “monoprints” using somebody’s leftover paint and then working on top of the painted stripes. My favorite parts of this project have been the small but interesting discussions, the feeling of another energy source in the room, and the large work space. I can see I have to make a change. But here are three of my four “monoprints”
and here are my two collaborators Laura Mack and Corrie Loomis Dietz:

Back from a week in Roch with Scott. Nice.
I LOVE the monoprints!! They are terrific.
