Well the last few years on the friday after Thanksgiving, LeeAnn and I have gone to Greenbaum’s Quilted Forest (our wonderful local quilting store) to get our “Turkey Pops”!! These are Tootsie rolls each with a little felt turkey on it and when you choose one and remove the turkey–VOILA–there’s a real treat, a little printed “prize.” Today mine was 20% off the total of all purchases, so of course I did my best for the local economy. The store is owned by our neighbors Sylvia and Bill and here’s Sylvia offering us a turkey pop….only available to the first 125 through the door!!!! Traditions must be observed!
