Well the day is over, the turkey carcass cleared away, the left-overs lingering on…but what fun. I’m always thankful for our terrific family, and never more than this year. They are beautiful, talented and funny. Most of them can cook, and those that don’t are good at pouring wine!
George, Jennifer & Fanny arrived first and George donned an apron and jumped into prep.
The table was set for 15.
Just like on the airplane, we seated the kids first, l to r Sam, Fin, Emma and Fanny.
Roger’s birthday is Sunday so we put candles in the desserts and sang enthusiastically!!!
Mom has had a difficult year health-wise so we were especially thankful to have her with us on this day of days.
After dinner Emma showed off her new Irish dancing costume and danced a bit for us–just before the clean-up started.
What a day. Because I was moving fast I didn’t take many pictures, but mine are pretty much the same as yours I would bet. Family, food, fun. I’m thankful for a political change, for my lovely life lived in a beautiful place, and for this nice family to share it with.
