Well we “tidied up” today–this would be a euphemism for slogging through piles of stuff for about 10 hours. But, the house looks good for the open house…and we remember again the true thing: tidying up for the open house means it’s all in order for Christmas! Hooray!!!
And we have been reminded again today that we are so lucky to live in a beautiful historic house–in our case probably dating to the late 1840’s. A.F.Waller came to Oregon on the ship Lausanne in the 1840’s. He was first posted to the Dalles, then Oregon City, then back to Salem. He was a builder–houses, mills, churches, universitys. More on him soon. For tonight–we’re ready for tomorrow. Come see us!!
