Howard had a post on his blog today (click here) about Rochester, NY, where he now lives. One of the photos was an image of what $10 bought at the grocery store in 1922. It looked like this:
I decided to take the $10 challenge and here’s what I got this afternoon for $10.04:


Amazing! From a weeks worth to a days worth. Yikes.
2+ meals I think. We ate half the onion, half the pepper, half the mushrooms and some romaine (plus some protein) last night, the other half tonight. I think an interesting thing would be to write down all the things in the 1922 photo and go price it out at the store.
