VICTORY!!!!!!

This morning I spoke to a guy named Doug, at HP. OF COURSE (“Doug”) I finally got the help I needed. He said he couldn’t walk me through it unless I paid $34.00, but he told me exactly what to do and I followed along and did it. He said the new Leopard update to the iMac disengaged the scanning capabilities on over 200 HP products, and they are scrambling to write software for them all. My “product” had software, I’ve down-loaded and installed it..and…VOILA! Something scanned from the coffee archives. It DID take 75 minutes to download it, but I went to Fitt’s Fish Market and bought salmon for dinner. Now I need a coffee.

  1. HPC4150 All-in-one printer, scanner, copier. It was inexpensive (tho not the cheapest one)–maybe about $150? Got it at Costco. I’ve had it for two years and never had trouble with it. The ink cartridges are easier to change than the last one (also an HP). Kiki–my Mac computer guru–said it’s better to get a better printer
because it does affect the quality of the scans. The next price bump from the one I got included a fax, but I don’t need that.
