Think Local…or Christmas Shopping in Salem, Oregon

A month ago I read an article in House & Garden about thinking, and shopping, locally. Of course “locally” to them means New York, but still. Sharon Rose and I set out to have a day in Salem where we Christmas shopped, went to no chain or big box, where we purchased and ate locally. And besides all of that socially responsible stuff, we had a lot of fun:

  1. The photo collage of Downtown is great. Somehow it would be fun to use as advertising. Keith (Kate’s partner) gave me (The Arbor) a blog on wordpress for Christmas. Maybe we could link to that. I, of course, have no idea how that works. Anyway, thanks for sending it along. I love it.
