Happy New Year!

It was bound to happen. The old year ground to a halt–a nice old year from here. Gearing up for the new year ahead, thinking of all the things to do and how to maintain a cheerful attitude while doing them…eek, eek. We kept to our tradition of the last decade–starting the new year “ON THE EDGE”. The beach was a stormy venue for the beginning of the new year, but the company was good, the food–pretending to be Hawaiian–was delicious. The moment was marked. Here’s how 2008 started for us:

We went to Eugene where Lee Immonen let us choose a couple of sculptures as a thank you for an article Roger wrote about his work, Roger gave a gallery talk, we struggled back to the beach  through the snow.  January is here!

  1. Happy New Year! I think we found a new tradition this year, sitting in the hot tub and drinking champagne as fireworks went off around the neighborhood. Best wishes to you and Roger in the new year — see you when I get home from MD!

  2. Sounds like a perfect way to say thank you to 2007 and welcome to 2008. Great glasses Jim and Carol! Happy New Year from PDX.

  3. Looks like a pretty swell time – love the eyeglasses!

The sculptures are really swell! I really like Lee’s work.
