We Discover Emma’s Writing at the Beach

The beach this weekend was the usual place of discovery. After a long beach walk and with our pockets full of treasures, we went to Mo’s for a bowl of clam chowder. We weren’t the only people with this idea, but luckily got a table with a view. We stared out at the bay (me) and read the paper(Roger) which had the introduction of our niece Emma as one of a group of “community writers” for the Oregonian. Our family has long known of Emma’s talents as a writer (poems, notes, books, songs) but it will be particularly nice to see her in print. I suspect this is only the first time, not the last.
