It’s been a low news week on Court Street, but here’s what we have:

The noisy masons have finished and gone.

The kids working in the anarchy press office, which has sadly taken over a beautiful historic house on our corner, have lost their kitty. Possibly they aren’t as anarchic as we feared?

  1. I love your posts…this one reads like an enjoyable cross between the latest from Lake Wobegon and News of The Weird.

The Anarchy Press. Hmm. Contradiction in terms…do they have a wide a loyal readership base I wonder? Is there an national association of anarchists? If they believe in appealing to neighbors to help find kitties maybe they’ll also believe in taking care of old houses…

  2. AK Press–google them. Owned and operated from Oakland or someplace. Young people–“interns” running a mail order shop. They’ve popped up crude shelving in the gorgeous living room with the ebony floors and stained glass cupboard doors. The have a fleet of little black cars the kids drive. Occasionally a shredder truck comes. They get deliveries of paper–think the press is in the basement. Mary and Con are spinning in their graves I suspect.

  3. Quieter now that the masons are gone? Now that the building is fully enclosed, and they are working on the interiors, it should be a bit better.
