And besides all the good movies at the Salem Film Festival, there was this beautiful video installation by Alexandra Opie. It involved two pieces, one from 2006 and then a new one.
The fire piece, “Murmurings,” was created for a show at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in 2006.
The new piece is about the forest and is mesmerizing–especially at night:
