PHEW.Ā Finished up today and removed the mess and most of the stuff leaving only the following:
the former double wedding ring and a detail of same
and the collages neatly installed in a book for easy viewing

Looks great! The reconstructed wedding ring turned out to be a good idea. Much more interesting this way. Could this be a comment on marriage? Like none are perfect, but far more interesting than expected.
lack of perfection in an imperfect world is an always fascinating theme I think. I have a but more to go to finish up on the quilt but ran out of time…
