Have you ever gone to Boiler Bay and parked in the parking lot for an ocean view? Me too. BUT..R and Dick went DOWN into the bay Saturday to find the boiler, and the parking lot looks like this from the bottom…
but once down there..a whole world to explore…
and they weren’t alone…here was a class from Chemeketa Community College…
…and OF COURSE…the boiler
in 1910 a ship (built in 1907) ran aground in the bay when the boiler caught on fire and exploded sending the ship at full speed onto the shore…but besides the boiler there are mussels and R & Dick harvested the 72 the law allows and brought them up…for a yummy mussel lunch with a view

So beautiful, I must get to the beach soon. I swear that boiler has a face, or at least eyes. Looks a little surprised too.
