Well the sun is gone and the rains are setting in, but last week in California I sat in the sun on Carolyn’s deck, and put the final stitches on this little quilt I started in Alabama at the Camp McDowell Gee’s Bend quilting week.
and here it was on the floor as I was trying to figure it out…
It’s a nice reminder of a fun week…all ready for some little baby boy?
Camp McDowell is having a Gee’s Bend retreat next spring too…bluegrass music at night, sewing all day, all your meals and a comfy bed. Better give it some thought….
Kim even learned hand-jive one evening…no kidding.
Turned out great Bonnie. I plan on making it back to Camp McDowell next April. They already have my deposit :)) Would love to see you and the West Coast Quilty Ladies again.
What a glorious little quilt for a very lucky little boy! He will most likely drag it around everywhere and love it to pieces…a fine fate! He will also learn to read ‘sun’ very early.
Looks smashing with the red thread!
wait, is that a hint?!
I am always inspired by what you do! It’s wonderful bright blanket. Camp sounds pretty nice too..
Hmm. Maybe I WILL give it some thought.
beautiful quilt!
