Mary Lou Zeek’s pop-up gallery show opens Friday night May 9th for one week only…but what a week! From May 10th to May 16 you can visit 211 Commercial Street NE downtown from 11-5 daily to see the work of 35 of your FAVORITE local artists (including moi). Today I delivered 2 paintings, and my donated piece for the silent auction…
All the donated pieces will hang in a grid to the left of the front door and you can bid on them all week. The proceeds from this part of the show will support the Medical Foundation of Marion & Polk Counties’ outreach programs to help the medically under-served. And we sadly know that this is a problem in our state. So go down May 10-16 between 11-5 and bid in the silent auction. How easy is that? You get a terrific art piece and support the most fragile in your community! Okay…here’s the visuals…the grid starting to fill…
with more waiting for hanging…
the big picture…all these paintings…
and check out these lamps that Mary Lou and Alan made…don’t you have the perfect spot for one of these???
and don’t you maybe need this Kim Murton crazy lady standing guard at your house?
and here’s Mary Lou trying to get Gramps to do a trick…
he said no…
bonnie, thanks for posting this. we are forwarding it on. see you there, and that rose/thorn piece of yours would look great next to its sister piece we joyously own. nice work!
looks like a bidding war has already started…..my grandmother’s name was Rose, my mom’s name is RoseMary and my middle name is Rose, so i was thinking i needed that piece…..
You go girls! xxoo
Hi Bonnie, Thank you for sharing these photos. I dropped my work off on Sunday: a lot of progress was made in a day. I am looking forward to seeing all of the work and catching up with people. I hope this is a successful event for the Medical Foundation; the need for support is significant.
wow, what amazing work. love those xrays!
