SUMMER!

It’s been soooo long since I’ve written I’m not sure I remember how to post. Our lives are as convoluted as ever but in different ways these days. As we dash into summer with a spate of perfect weather our next door neighbors (our grandkids) are keeping things wet and wild. Last weekend the parents were gone and the grandparents were in charge…here’s some of what we did, just to get you thinking about running through the sprinkler or getting the slip and slide ready….

we painted a banner and celebrated “Midsummer” on the 24th

But the last few days have all been about water play…how lucky we are to have abundant clean water in our part of the world…

We interspersed wet with dry, and active with quiet…for the sake of the grandparents. Sidney had long wanted to wrap Vivi in one roll of toilet paper (?), and then there was some tablet time.

It’s amazing how many things you can do for not much expenditure of cash (well, there was the Slip and Slide…but)

Happy summer, friends.
