Happy Birthday Roger

By happenstance Roger Hull was born in Lebanon, Tennessee, on November 30,1943…where his Dad was stationed before going to the European theater during World War II. In 1968 Barbra and I staged a birthday party for him…my first Roger Hull celebration with 54 more to come. He was very annoyed to not make it to 80, but not for lack of trying. And so today here are some images with not much text. Digital photos did not enter my world in 2007, but there are a few old ones from the folder in my photo file called “Hull History”. And happy birthday to his birthday “twins” Judy Basker, Kathy Dinges, Rocky Lieuellen, and Jennifer Viviano, Sagittarians all.

  1. What a great way to start the day, Bonnie. Thank you for sharing these. I keep hoping to find the Hullabaloo Last Lecture, amongst all of the WU video archives!

Our best to you; hope you are well and enjoy the season!

  2. So thinking of Roger today as I wish 2 other friends a Happy Birthday. Sure miss him…mostly our conversations at home and the beach over many years. Quiet, thoughtful reflections with him mostly. Don’t get to that much anymore….🙂

  3. Very dear Bonnie….thank you for sharing the comforting photos of Roger. They are precious and wonderful.

    Love to you, Nancy

    1. Thanks Nance! I had my left knee replaced Wednesday and am home being tended by
My lovely brother Bruce who is not only a good caregiver, but also too much fun! Roger is with us in spirit cheering me on!

      1. Oh YAY! A new knee for Christmas! I’m glad your brother is with you with good cheer and no doubt, healthy food……and help in getting around. Whew…..

        Love, Nance

  4. Bonnie, Thank You. I’m reminded of the many good things that Roger accomplished. Way back in “the day” he gave Dan and me a two-person show at the art gallery at Willamette. I learned so much from that experience. You made my day.Craig
