Living the Creative Life: Kay Worthington
Kay retired this spring (from being a graphic artist at the newspaper) and is in that first giddy hysteria–working 12 hours a day, sleeping four, afraid to miss a moment of doing what she wants after a working life. I went by today to see her new stuff and was delighted. But first the work […]
WOW
This blog is tipping slowly toward being dreadfully boring…will try to scare up something this week! In the meantime:
A Magic Moment

When Lilacs Last by the…
(cottage studio) door yard bloomed… (I was thinking of sneaking over and cutting a branch when I suddenly realized–they’re on “my” property!!!) Lilacs always remind me of the midwest, where they thrive because of the cold winters. Growing up I had an overly-active sense of smell and lilacs used to grab my whole face and […]
Film Festival Fun
Friday was the start of the 2009 Salem Film Festival (10 days of movies!!!) and also the opening of the new Salem Cinema. Loretta Miles has kept this community supplied with films of a broad range of subject and interest for 30 some years, plus giving movie lovers a comfy and cozy place to meet […]
