In January I visited the new studio under construction at Irene’s house for painter Jon Colburn (see post for Jan. 24,08). Yesterday I stopped by to check progress so here’s an update:

On The Way 
Love the paintings. Her stuff is great. Isn’t it funny that we all have some kind of form language hard wired into our brains? Interesting.
These are Jon’s paintings–but not good photos. He’s moving down from Portland and into his new studio this weekend. He and Irene have fallen in love and she built this studio in her back yard after he built her a studio in the garage, More on his art in a week or two.
