Last week it was 106 and 107 in the valley so many people were driven west to the beach, where it’s always cool. We went for a salmon caesar one day and looked out at this scene which looked like Coney Island to our western eyes:

What beach was this? We’ve escaped to New York and can only hope the best for our dear house sitter who was trying to keep our gardens watered in our absence! Oy vey!
Good planning–I hear NYC is having one of the coolest summers on record! This is the Dee River beach near Kyllos, which often has a few scattered people but–wow. Cosmic looked good, tho a little lonely. We’re trying for a week plus next week–hope it happens. xxoo B
