(as Randy Jackson would say)…I almost drove off the edge of Court Street this evening when I saw the two new M.J. Anderson sculptures in front of the Justice Building.  Two nude marble figures just standing there blindly…(the piece is called “Blind Justice”)

This, though, in the town that refused a Renoir nude in 1956 (now happily in the Portland Art Museum lobby) because…as the then Salem mayor AL Loucks said, it was the hottest issue he had faced since he took office.  Of the 100 calls he had, not one was in favor of it.  Gad.

BETTER DRIVE OVER TO COURT STREET AND TAKE A LOOK!!
