This is me (Goldie) and Lynn Shoenut Yaney (Dusty), the gold dust twins, in the Detroit, Michigan bus station in the middle of the night sometime about 1967. We were roommates. This was before husbands, babies, careers, restaurants and ad agencies, before writing and painting and gardening. Before travel. Before love and deaths. September 12th was her birthday. She now lives in the south of France, I now live in Oregon. Michigan is far away. Happy birthday Shoenut…late but with love.
