We called in at the State Forester’s office in Salem for a brown bag lunch the other day to check out the triumph in lighting. When we last visited in March we noted that the beautiful period office had horrific florescent lighting added some time in the last few decades:
The State Forester (also my brother!) assured us that he was working on getting the lighting situation resolved, so when he invited us back to see we jumped at the chance. In the meantime he had done a little detective work on what the original fixture looked like (“sort of a wagon-wheel thing”) and managed to find a new fixture that fits in perfectly…
amazingly the glass shades are VERY similar to the historic wall sconces…
…ahhhhhhhh.
Oh, that is so much better!!!! I love it!
Good to see balance restored.
Perfect! Looks artisan made. Whole room seems to breathe to life under that light.
Perfect! I wonder if he also needs some more local art on the walls.
I offered a painting of trees…
Very nice. Success! (I’ll pay my Oregon taxes now.)
Doug, hang Bonnie’s painting!
