Quilts and a Brother

This month the Tuesday quilt group met at Olga’s and she had a few quilts thrown over the railing like a medieval castle… Her house is comfy and fun…here’s something I spied… Linda and Kathleen had shared a piece of fabric in the mystery quilt challenge, and this was the reveal…here’s Linda’s version (front and […]

August Third

We went to Minto Park today and reminded ourselves what we were doing out there in 2012… getting ready for a wedding… and two years later we have a new guy to hang out with… and though it was HOT today, it was nothing like August 4, 2012, when it was 104…phew!

Cleaning the Closet

January.  The month of new beginnings, of hopeful restarts, of resolutions…and of cleaning the closet.  Have to.  Every January.  This year I bought a nifty bamboo shelf for the “shoe problem” and assembled it all by myself with no directions (well, VERY sketchy directions, anyway.)  I saw such a thing in a magazine…though MUCH more […]

Sidney Roger Hull joined us on November 16th, 2013…born in Portland, Oregon.  His life will not be chronicled here…(his parents would like him to become a media star in his own good time…)  But…this is the point where his young life intersects with ours…delightfully.   He’s a beautiful boy, now just a week old.  […]

Sunday Fun….

A varied sort of day today…art/babies/friends/family…picked up my Madras show work from Coralee and got to see the piece she bought, installed…”Tron”…looking good… Downtown to catch Sue-Del McCulloch and Katy McFadden talk about their work on view at Waterstone Gallery… but I couldn’t get past Katy’s beautiful and expressive hands… Or Alexander’s cautious flirtation… A […]

We took a little drive last week with Z & A back to Wallace, Idaho, for a bit of the “HULL back story” . Z made the route which we did ALL on non-freeway roads and we made a big, interesting circle.  Basically other people’s vacations are pretty boring, I know, but here are just […]

Hull…here with Piatt in St Marie’s, Idaho about 1915… my wonderful Uncle John Zurmuehlen…here with me, but father to Don a […]
